My elder Sister Claire has been for ages trying to get me into art and craft. So far this been without success as I never seem to be able to find any time with such a busy social calendar and the like!

Claire has been involved with crafts for quite a few years and she regularly attends a craft club at our local community center. The club meets once every fortnight and they alternate between, card making, scrapbooking and other weird and wonderful crafts.

Yesterday’s meeting saw the turn of card making and Claire talked me into going along with her to see what it is all about. When I got there I was surprised at just how many people attend the club meetings as we are a relatively small community. Claire pointed out that some of the members are actually from surrounding villages and may travel several miles in order to attend the meetings.

It seemd that there were numerous different facets of carft going on within the card making, for example 3D Decoupage, Rubber Stamping and a process know as Quilling. I particularly liked the effect that people were achieving with quilling but it also looked like this could be quite a difficult task to master.

The 3D decoupage was also very inspiring and I think that I would like to maybe have a go with this if I am to get involved with the art of card making at all. Claire has promised to help me with my first decoupage project and so I will now set about purchasing some craft supplies to get started.

Have you ever been to a club and start dancing to one song but before that song is done another song starts to play?  That is called a dj mix,which is done by taking several different song tracks and mixing them into one continuous track. A dj mix is done by using a mixer and some sort of sound source.  These could be a turntable, CD, or computer sound cards.

Performance of a dj set is usually done in front of an audience or possibly in a studio. A dj mix is chosen by the dj to made into tracks that are played usually for a dance and the type of music depends on the type of dance activity.  If the dance is fast, the track will be up beat but if the activity slows down the beat should be slowed.  The music tracks can be adjusted accordingly by simply adjusting the tempo in the dj mix.

A dj can also decide on the dance floor activity, whether upbeat or slow, just by changing the dj mix.  They can do this simply by using the tracks that best suits the direction in which they want their audience.  This type of tracking can be symbolic in the relationship between the dj and their audience. The dj can also mix set tracks in a studio to set up different mixes to suit different audiences.

Sometimes a dj may set up a dj mix for promotional purposes.  These types of mixes are distributed by CDs or audio files and promote them via websites or on pod casts.  Some of the more popular dj’s mixes are distributed commercially on CDs.  Some sets are distributed to the Internet while others are burned on CDs.

Here  is a few examples of some CDs that represent  dj mixes. One series is called “Back to Mine”.  It is a dj mix that has a series of albums that consist of music that is composed by renown electronic music composers.  Another dj mix is called “Global Underground” and it consist of music that was a symbol of dance music in the 1990s.  The music was composed by several DJs.  If trance type mixes is the style that a person is looking for; then a dj mix called “In Search of Sunrise”, might be what they are looking for.  This mix consists of several installments that were recorded from1999 to 2008.  They were mixes that were represented on two different music tours.

If you have been a Internet user for any length of time you already know there are free things online.  You may have heard of programs that get you free things, but many of those programs are full of viruses and other things that can harm your computer.  A lot of these programs have falsely labeled files and you can end up downloading something you never wanted to download. Take a minute to Download Ares and you will be opened to a whole new world of free online files.

The people that Download Ares are not the same people that use those other file sharing programs, they are more advanced and have better, higher quality files to share.  You will find with many of the more popular programs that the advanced users are only there to trick the new users, and get as many downloads as they can on a trick file. The first time you spend three hours downloading something only to find it is actually a cartoon from the eighty’s you will understand the frustration that drives so many serious file sharers to the real thing.  This is the situation you will be faced with every day without using a file sharing program designed to avoid it.

Even when you do Download Ares you will want to be careful in what you download, no program is without it’s share of spam, but one of the best qualities of this program is the safeguards against it.  Be sure to look up comments on files and see what other downloads the user is offering to get a good picture of who is offering the file.  Getting to know people in the chat area is great too, as you can request files and ask questions. Along with building relationships with like minded people.

The moral of the story is to go out and Download Ares, give it a shot and see the difference for yourself.  The quality and amount of files you will find is amazing, and being able to be so much more protected while file sharing is well worth learning a new program to be able to get the programs, music, video and images you really want, without having to worry about if a file is really what it says it is, after all, isn’t the point of sharing the ability to actually be kind to others, not trick them into anything?
