Nick played in a number of Broadway shows since the age of 7. In 2002, Nick wrote a song with his father called “Joy to the World (A Christmas Prayer)” and performed the song at the “Equity Fights AIDS” album, Broadway’s Greatest Gifts: Carols for a Cure, Vol. 4. The song was released on Christian radio and became popular on the Record & Radio Christian Adult Contemporary Chart. Nick again released a second single titled “Dear God”. Kevin, Joe and Nick wrote several other songs for the album which was self titled “Nicholas Jonas”. In 2005, Steve Greenberg, president of Columbia Records, listened to Nick’s record and after meeting with Nick and hearing his new song “Please Be Mine” decided to sign Nick and his brothers as a group act. The Jonas Brothers went on tour throughout 2005 opening for different artists such as Jump5, Kelly Clarkson, Jesse McCartney, the Backstreet Boys, and The Click Five. They also went on tour with the Cheetah Girls and Aly & AJ, on their anti-drug tour. The Jonas Brothers made many appearances on television and other venues including visiting the White House on April 9, 2007 during the annual White Hose Easter Egg Roll. They sang the National Anthem. Presently, the Jonas Brothers are touring the United States, Canada and Mexico.
