Arts and Crafts for Kids

There are several things you can do with your child. There is many notable crafting activities such as the straw sculptures. For this project you will need cardboard, bendable straws, tape and paper clips. To start off, cut the straws in different lengths and then snip the side at the end of some of the straws. Then, insert the straws into one another in the form of a U shape and then inside the straws leftover into the. To make the well-known “fireworks” or tree straws, it’s best to cut them in several different lengths n order for the straws to curl. Also be sure to cut with scissors, the same as you would if you were curling a ribbon.
The squeeze ball is also another popular item you can make together. This toy is not recommended for children under the age of 5. If you have noticed, children like to be play with slimy toys as it keeps them fascinated. There is a home way to do this. First, blow up the balloon in order to stretch it but do not tie it at the end. Use a funnel to open the balloon without letting any air escape and then pour cornstarch inside it. When it feels tight, stretch out the ballon as far as you can, then tie the balloon securely. Then, squish the ball as much as you’d like and let your children have fun playing with it.
Colored rice is very easy to make and can be produced with children alongside helping you. It is non-toxic and allows you to use a variety of friendly tools such as glitter, papers, white rice, food coloring and vinegar. Place 1/2 cup of rice into a bile and then add 5 drops of food coloring. Spread if flat into a backing sheet and then bake it at 200 for a maximum of 45 mins in order for it to try.
